yeah trans women can get periods they just don’t have a menstrual cycle because they don’t have a uterus. estrogen produces the chemicals that signal for the uterine lining to shed, but those chemicals trigger other processes in both cis and trans women

yes but when estrogen cyclicly triggers the release of chemicals to shed the uterine lining, regardless of the presence of a uterus, that’s considered a period even if there’s no menstruation. women with vasectomies can get periods too
