brain dead people are unable to regulate anything. they cannot regulate their blood pressure, pulse, or temperature. they will have violent seizures if their body temperature is too high. their eyes do not produce mucus anymore, and nurses have to regularly lubricate their eyes. you do not secrete hormones anymore. brain dead people are often stiff and postured in an unnatural way. their tongues hang out of their mouth and require people to push or hold them back in. they are on constant -

- medication to regulate their blood pressure, pulse, urine production, and body temperature. they defecate on themselves often, and it’s horrible smelling diarrhea because their digestive system does not work anymore. their body will start to smell despite regular bathing because they are literally decomposing while being kept alive by machines. it is a horrible process that involves constant alarms going off, round the clock care, and trauma for both medical staff and families.

keeping a person alive for the sole reason of delivering a child is beyond inhumane. that child will not develop correctly and will likely die soon after being born. this woman is being put through unspeakable torture for the sole reason that she is pregnant and our politicians will not allow her to die the peaceful death she deserves. her family is in agony watching her deteriorate in ways you can never imagine watching your loved one deteriorate. the suffering of the patient and the family -

when brain dead people fully die, it is not a peaceful and smooth process. it’s violent convulsions, vomiting on themselves, horrific gurgling noises, poop and urine everywhere, codes being called on speakers, alarms going off, the sound of ribs breaking while medical staff attempt to revive them with CPR, family members crying and screaming, and the absolute devastation when you realize nothing else can be done. it’s watching the mortuary staff haul them off like a bag of garbage after -
