Not to mention that one of the guys who tried to assassinate Trump - Thomas Matthew Crooks - was a confirmed registered Republican. Of course, that story vanished from the headlines as soon as that info dropped. The selective memory seems to be a pretty beloved tactic of conservative media sometimes, tbh. It’s pretty concerning how many conservatives didn’t even wait for confirmation before flat-out claiming the shooter was a leftist. Just full-on making stuff up to fit the narrative.
