It’s also very telling that when they talk about “red states” it always comes out when they say “yeah the south is so bad.” Because they’re always talking about the south… never like. Montana or North Dakota.

The south MUST be poor and MUST be complicit never mind the fact that a lot of the loss of wealth in those regions came from industries failing wildly and people not being helped and towns becoming ghost towns and you can’t just move away from somewhere you’ve lived your whole life. I think it’s important to stay and fight if you’re able. And I definitely agree that if we give up on red states we loose all progress. It’s also just horrible how people who claim to be leftists will group all people in a state as being conservative just because they’re southern or red. as someone in higher education, i think the more educated part is interesting. i think education opportunities should be equal regardless of race, gender, and disability, however intellect has nothing to do with being in this community
