I used to want to change mine to Lovelace sooooo bad. I’m very in favor of historical last names. Ended up dropping it bc I broke up with person I was going to change it with and it made it feel weird, but I still love it as a name. I think all of these are cool, Locke is perhaps the most timeless and least likely to cause regret if your vibes change.

locke and lovelace are both pretty. the spelling of lockewood strikes me as odd (maybe go with lockwood instead?) and lockett is just going to sound like locket, like a necklace. Good luck finding a name that suits you! :) <3

oh I might be stupid bc I genuinely don't know what historical figure you're referring too lol I looked up common L last names so I don't think any of these should stand out too much? but ofc their commonality might be very region specific

I see. Lovelace and Locke stick out to me specifically. John Locke is a philosopher and Ada Lovelace is the woman who wrote the first computer code. Idk how common Lovelace is but I rarely hear it other than Ada Lovelace, she is really cool though. You can also always just say “no relation” if someone asks though.

oof I'm sorry! me and my sibling were both going to change ours but they shot down every single idea I had lol, so I think different last names would be best for us the more I think about Lovelace the more I like it. thanks!!
