I never came out to my parents, I didn’t think it was any of their business who I choose to date. I just mentioned I had a girlfriend in passing once and they understood. Definitely not the tactic for everyone but in my opinion it’s their fault they assumed I was straight

I accidentally made one too many jokes in front of my mom and she figured it out. I don’t think my dad has ever cared enough to mention it further
