Quick side note I HATE when people try to justify why you should be sad because someone who died had a family. Fine, I feel bad for his family but not him. If hitler had a son, would these people be upset at his death too?

Like if I died would it be less sad because I’m unmarried with no children? Esp if I was older so maybe the “someone’s daughter” thing also wouldn’t work as well

I bet they’d be so sad for Mussolini’s children “erm well I know he like killed a ton of people but he had kids!!”

people will say “but kirk isn’t hitler” because they can’t comprehend a hypothetical. the whole point of the hitler comparison is to dismiss feeling bad for a death *because* they have a family, not to say someone is hitler. but conservatives are all fucking idiots so you can’t get them to understand it

Yeah but hitler literally ordered for terrible things to happen Charlie only spoke and he respected if people were different even when he didn’t like it. Can’t say the same for us leftists

I wouldn’t say he really respected it, and I’m not literally comparing Charlie Kirk to Hitler. It’s more about the concept that I should be mourning his death because he had a family. I can feel for his family, doesn’t mean I need to feel for him.

I’m just sad people celebrate others deaths so easily, I hope then never have to feel that kind of loss in their lives, and the fact that people are so happy to take life from someone that’s loved by someone like that

No, he did not respect those different from him. He was ableist- dismissing the need for ASL interpreting. He said Queer people, more specifically Trans people, are a “contagion”. He said executions should be televised and shown to kids as “it’s an initiation”. Children being murdered was a “cost” he deemed “worth it”. Said the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a “huge mistake”. He did not respect those he wanted harmed. Don’t pretend he’s some innocent martyr when he is FAR from it.
