“Some guy said he’d beat me up” “well that’s how men act, you want to be a man right?” As if we’re opting into manhood and thus it’s okay for us to be harassed and threatened because “you wanted to be a man”

That argument is used against women wanting equal rights also and it’s always, just, so upsetting??? In any context, you’re saying “well I commit violent crimes and if you want rights then you have to let me commit violent crimes against you so THERE”
