tbh when i was like 18 - 22ish i thought i hated men in general cause i was so accustomed to mistreatment. but the thing is, shady assholes are aggressively putting themselves out there, while normal elders mostly mind their own business. so we end up not even noticing those guys who aren’t predatory, and that causes a skewed perception (not your fault, to be clear)
