Queerbaiting was a term created to criticize shows/movies for not having lgbt characters and wanting to bait the lgbt crowd by claiming to be representative. It shouldn't be used for real people since we're not characters in a show or movie but the term isn't the issue.

Queerbaiting is a term that should never *have been applied to real living people. There, fixed that for you. It’s a perfectly valid critique of media but not of a living person, especially if it’s not something they’re doing on purpose
