I wish we as LGBTQ+ community were more understanding of each other's struggles, especially when it's pretty much the same one.

I wish the community would be more understanding of viewpoints as well. Some seem to be ostracized the moment it deviates from what’s the popular and official opinion.

Can you give some examples?

yes but these also tend to be viewpoints that argue for discrimination outside homophobia/biphobia/transphobia like “total exclusion of a race is just a preference”

Being this vague implies that it’s a shitty opinion

Why because it isn’t an official and accepted opinion?

The fact that you use those terms instead of, say, “controversial.” Let’s hear the opinion, if you don’t mind.

For example keeping in mind of those parameters: Why do some people make a big deal over the presence of law enforcement. There are have law enforcement that identify as LGBTQ+.

Because all cops are bastards. Every cop in America is part of an organization that is fundamentally racist, sexist, classist, homophobic, transphobic, and just generally anti-just. No N@zis at pride, no Klansmen at pride, no pigs at pride.

Just a disclosure not a cop. That’s a broad generalization and you are proving that the community tramples over others. You mention classism, but I went to several pride parades in the past month and last year. It confirms that there is also racism and classism. The bigotry that the “community” allegedly fights against.

“Not a cop,” then says cop shit. Yeah there’s bigotry in lgbt spaces, no one’s arguing there isn’t. Doesn’t change that cops have willingly aligned themselves with power, power that is constantly used to oppressed queer folk, and cops are the ones doing that.

First of all, you assume I am in favor of the police. All I have said was that there are LGBTQ+ police officers. You went on off on a tangent just like you have just now.

I explained why lgbt+ people hate cops. I answered your question. That’s not what tangent means lol

So you are the official spokesperson for an entire “community”? Again, proving that if you dare to say something outside of the accepted opinion or narrative, a person gets shut down. I suppose if an LGBTQ+ person were to say they were conservative or a left radical, they would meet with the same ostracism.

No, I’m not a spokesperson for the community? I’m explaining a common sentiment, don’t try to twist my words lol.

And yes. Conservatives are not welcome in queer spaces, obviously. If you vote for people who want to stone gays to death, gays aren’t obligated to let you stay in our shared spaces lmao

You are the one twisting words here. You did it when you said “controversial” in lieu of differing opinions.

What? I said that if you had used the word “controversial” and been straightforward, then you’d seem more credible. Can you read?
