yeah but the success of feminist movements has mainstreamed the idea of being a feminist, but not necessarily the feminist theory. so you have a lot of people who consider themself to be feminist, but much more from a vibes based perspective than an academic one. which let’s be very clear is better than nothing but also presents a significant hurdle if we want to actually bring about an abolition of patriarchy
