Am I supposed to have it done? Like I’m 24 but my doctor keeps saying to come back when I lose my v card and then I can get a Pap smear

personally it wasn't bad at all! it was a tiny bit uncomfortable but it wasn't painful for me it's definitely intimidating but it will be okay!! you can request for a nurse to hang out and chat with you during the procedure if you think that will help you

There is an at home kit you can do now and it’s proven to be just as effective and is a LOT less invasive

My mom said they don’t exist, I think since it wasn’t around in her time she doesn’t know about it? Regardless I’m going to set up a meeting with my doctor and I’ll make sure to bring it up then

You need a new doctor. You should get one at least once a year when you turn 21
