I’d ask them. There’s really no neutral word for a title you use while speaking to the person. There’s Mx, to replace mr or Mrs, and I guess you could use it in place of sir? But some people (me included) would rather a gendered term

Consult them first, but some people enjoy when folks switch between masculine & feminine honorifics. Being nonbinary is different for everyone tho so def check. Also "your honor" and similar referents involving royalty are generally found to be amusing

Yeah!! I just find that many nonbinary people have different views on what they want to be called, and if they like neutral titles. I would prefer Mx written, but sir irl
