(FTM) finally got my hysterectomy scheduled today and I thought I would feel super happy…but instead I just have this huge pit in my stomach. I’ve never doubted my transition so I don’t know why I’m feeling like this.

Ur literally getting rid of a organ. No matter how much you want that and it will help in the long run, you are a human with a body that wants to keep its organs. No matter how much it helps, instinct is to keep all organs safe in the body

i’m working on scheduling mine - congrats! give yourself some time to process, and don’t give too much weight to this feeling. sleep on it, relax, and treat yourself. it’s gonna be ok 🏳️‍⚧️

the sane thing will happen with top surgery, you'll feel this doubt and regret for a little bit after, BUT that's only because you're removing an organ your brain has hormones in it to freak out over anything like it, so don't worry!!! you're gonna be ok, proud of you for taking this step! <3

I had that feeling when I had my orchiectomy a few years back. I woke up *screaming* with tears in my eyes saying “they’re gone, they’re finally gone!” And then I had my apple juice and went shopping for some comfort foods. 😊

THIS ^^^^ it's not a conscious doubt of your transition but an instinct of your body!!!
