
if you live in a place that has a local fabric store, go there! They should have needles and thread there. You can also buy a basic cheap sewing kit online, or ask older family members and friends if they know anyone with a sewing machine they don’t use. You’d be surprised how many older women were taught how to sew as a child and just never got rid of the sewing machine. Go thrifting for items to upcycle and YouTube has plenty of upcycling tutorials! Hope this helps!
any craft store at all. sometimes places like walgreens will have little sets of needles and you can use dental floss but that’s not really recommended unless you’re like diying a pair of patch pants. for most mending tasks just go to any craft/fabric/art supplies store in your area and they will have everything you need
