.gaia.

Hate to say it but a lot of vaguely political queer people aestheticize rebellion against norms to the point where if you don't fit the aesthetic they like or perform the way they expect, you're not doing queerness right. Replicating hierarchy.
The way alot of AMAB enbies are treated is honestly insane and blatantly transphobic

ngl I genuinely think the reason why certain queer ppl don't like people who are aro or ace is bc we can't preform our queerness it's like if they can't see it then it's not valid

“No queer enough” -> less than, deserving of judgement and microaggression and isolation

And bigotry etc etc. and it just falls back into norms and expectations rather than escaping them

And so it becomes “you don’t look or act how I expect x type of person to look and act, and that’s BAD”

This^ I think it comes from a belief of “well you can be cis het presenting if you need to be easier than I can! You can hide in society easily and I can’t!” ok??? And??? I’d still be hiding???? We both being oppressed, you’re just mad when I’m forced into submission it LOOKS easier to you???
