I think the reason is that they see women as lesser in the first place. They hate cis women who don’t make themselves small. And they hate trans women because they can’t fathom why someone would actively want to be the “lesser” gender. It’s all facets of the same misogyny.

As a biologist you can also have women who have naturally higher testosterone levels (unfortunately like me, I’m fighting facial hair battles that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy 😭)
