it depends on the size, complexity, and amount of colors in the tattoo, as well as the artist’s pricing! i have two tattoos, and the one i posted here was a couple hundred dollars which is a lot but worth it tbh and the other is a small black (no other colors) ankle tattoo of a semicolon with a yin yang as the top dot and iirc that was about the same price as op’s or something like that. and both of mine were from the same artist

it really comes down to these: - size - complexity - amount of colors - time spent - maybe the location of the tattoo?

mine was part of a flash they were having for pride, so definitely also keep an eye open for any flashes, they usually have some less expensive designs!!
