Saying “Not be that” is a misunderstanding of communism. Communism has always been the communist party sacrificing the proletariat to capture power for themselves. A weak or complacent proletariat is worse than fodder to them.

You thought the people wearing the red hats were gonna help all the other kids share toys and be nice. But sometimes, the red hat people just want all the toys for themselves. They say, ‘We’re helping!’ but really, they just take the toys and don’t care if the other kids get hurt or sad

This is a dumb situation overall and your friend shouldn’t have been treated like that, but I don’t think that just bc a reddit mod is prejudiced that everything they stand for is evil. The principles of communism are moral and do not require people sacrificing themselves, only for everyone to be on the same page when capitalism fails (capitalism being the main way proletariat are killed/slighted every day, every hour).

Like let’s not act like Reddit is the bastion of ideology. Collective action is necessary for revolution, and everyone, working class and middle class, has value and adds power to the collective. Doesn’t matter the dx, the ailment, nothing does.

Communism from its inception differentiates between the Communist Party and the proletariat. People don’t sacrifice themselves, they are sacrificed by the party in a means to capture power for the party. If you’re looking for a humanitarian and ethical form of socialism, Communism is not it.

Yea you might be right. I’m more libertarian socialist who actually started looking into commie theory to see how it is and am noticing some dicey stuff. Maybe anarchism is better
