Why is it that it’s always trans men who “feel like trans women” for being masculine, and why is it never the other way around? I never see trans women identifying with men of any kind. This isn’t a dog whistle, it’s a legit question.
lowkey i feel like a trans woman stuck in a trans man stuck in a woman yfm? i grew my hair and bought girl clothes because i wanted to feminine and pretty, but now i feel uncomfortable in my skin and i want to look and feel like a man. i never feel… right

I think OP is more genderfluid than a trans man since they say feeling feminine or masc feels suffocating either way. They just dont know what they feel about gender identity yet. But to your specific question i woukd say patriarchy. Cis gender roles apply to trans folks so trans men might feel like a girl when they’re called out for it hence trying to fit in and present feminine while seeing themselves as a man so it feels like theyre dressing like a woman while being a man

Though i dont doubt trans women have dysphoria too every experience is very different but as for trans men i can tell you that mostly its cause of the patriarchy. Cis men also dont like us much because they dont want to be associated with anything feminine and most only see sex. Ik cis women are typically nicer about it and more welcoming

Yeah, I’m afraid that the “dressing like a woman while feeling like a man” is a misinterpretation of transfem experiences… 💔 But at least I see what is meant by this.

I’m not saying you feel that trans women feel that way, I’m saying that it’s like… For someone feeling those feelings, trans women shouldn’t be the kind of person you think about or relate to. It’s simply an inaccuracy. Nothing wrong with the feelings themselves.
