There is no “better” or “worse,” just “different” experiences. I’d encourage folks read Crenshaw’s work on intersectionality as the spectrum of identities that individuals hold and the experiences they have because of those identities matters and our points of nuance, shared understanding, and awakenings to the experiences of others matters too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I kinda think the whole thing is a psyop ngl - seems like someone said something awkwardly and it got out of hand. (Like who cares who “understands womanhood better” that wasn’t even a debate last week). SO much internet “drama” is just organized troll campaigns, look at Chappell Roan or Amber Heard

I mean saying either understands it “better” is wrong, and I can absolutely understand why a lot of women would have their feathers kind of ruffle with that because womanhood is a very difficult thing

I wasn’t disagreeing with you! I also think it’s odd (and not accurate) to say trans or cis women understand womanhood “better.” my point was that letting the conversation be “who understands gender better?” is so counterproductive to our goals as gender minorities (cis women, trans women, trans men, enbies, intersex ppl etc) that it’s almost suspicious when the conversation turns into that out of nowhere overnight
