Irl queer people often have many of the flaws of online queer people. Nonbinary ex telling me i cant use the pronouns that make me happy because “we have to have a united front on what pronouns to use.” Being called a transtrender when i came out in ms. +
Y’all need to go outside into the real world and talk to real queer people. That’d solve so many of y’all’s problems.

+ and ofc the rampant racism in the queer community, acting like black and west/south folk are inherently more masc and east asian folk are inherently more fem and straight up erasure of poc in general. This community is insanely flawed no matter where you engage with it/talk to it

Yeah I think its disingenuous that people will brush off certain things as “queer discourse” when it’s something that ive seen or experienced directly in real life, sometimes multiple times, especially when other people have experienced the exact same thing irl too like?? Thats a worrying pattern

Yeah i brushed it off bc i don’t really expect any better from the average queer person. Always caught up in respectability politics no matter how much they try to pretend to themselves and others theyre not.

No like I’m so confused what they were actually saying like what was their argument 😭 what does a united front on pronouns mean like you had to use the same ones???

That all nonbinary people have to use they, all men have to use he, and all women have to use she. Absolutely no variation in pronouns allowed.

Because otherwise it “gets too confusing” for cis people. Mind you they used he/she/they.
