I love seeing posts like this and seeing the whole comment section is just “no we hate homos just as much as trans people, you are just as harmful as trans people” They do not like you either!! You are not “one of the good ones” for doing this🤣

Ok, I’m still confused here. I get the AIDS epidemic tie in, but what are do we mean by “one of the good ones”? And what does that have to do with being cisgender? (Yes, I am very aware of how ignorant I am. I’m from Arkansas, I’m lucky I know what homosexuality is. I’m trying to learn)

Some cis gender people (male and female but mainly male) might try believe that conservatives would have no issues with them for being gay and that conservatives only have issues with trans people or nonbinary expression of gender. That if trans people were no more then queer people would be safe and would all hold hands and Kumbaya.

That’s ridiculous though. They’re just in the spotlight rn. And anything less than perfectly straight will not be accepted in the south anytime soon 😒 It seems like a division tactic. Split us up so they can pick us off letter by letter, or drive us back into the closet.

Basically the post I believe is trying to say is there is no such thing as a good gay to those who don’t think we should exist in the first place. They don’t care if you suck dick or cure cancer they don’t care what your pronouns are and they really don’t care about you. They see you as an other and that’s all you ever will be to them so don’t think you’re one of them you’re just a dead man walking

If I had to guess I'd say it's because a large reason we lost so many to aids is because of how many people dismissed or even encouraged the spread of aids because it mostly affected gay men. They let it happen because they wanted us to die, and I suppose the point is they probably still would today.
