Realized that the reason I’m not attracted to men easily probably has less to do with my sexuality and more to do with my gender identity. Like when men are attracted to me, it’s usually bc they see me as ONLY a woman, and I don’t feel like ONLY a woman

I also didn’t seriously consider myself as being nonbinary until TODAY. Before I was like “oh it’s cool when ppl ask me my pronouns” or “I like they used ‘they’ to refer to me” or I would tell ppl I didn’t care what they called me

Like noticing men are attracted to me makes me feel dysphoric and TOO womanly which is why I thought I couldn’t be attracted to men.

As a nonbinary person who uses all pronouns, I feel the same in so many ways. I hate when my partner only uses she/her pronouns for me and calls me his girlfriend. It makes me feel like he doesn’t really see me as nonbinary.

I don’t quite understand this but I want to. Does this apply to bi/pan men who are attracted to you? Do you feel like woman/nb people who are attracted to you are more likely to be bi/pan and thus have an easier time finding them attractive? Or are you not exactly sure and still feeling this revelation out?

I think I have an easier time being with people who are bi/pan in general bc the attraction isnt necessarily bc I look like a woman & they have an easier time adjusting their perspective of me. Also most bi/pan ppl tend to clock me as nb (even before I realized it applied to me) but str8 ppl don’t.

I’m also demi so that’s def a part of it as well lmao. I’m mostly just going with the flow though and still figuring it out. I don’t like to put too much pressure/labels on that type of stuff (gender/sexuality) anyways, but figuring this out ab myself has def opened my eyes to some things

I also think where I live, it’s a lot more easy to come across out bi/pan women/nb ppl than bi/pan men, which is probs due to a lot of biphobia where I live & the emphasis on masculinity (which is part of the reason I think I thought I couldn’t be attracted to men)
