Streets are saying Kamala is going to try to run again and I fear if she wins the dem primary it truly is over for us 😭

Harris, Newsom, neoliberals as a group can’t win the dem primary or the country crashes and burns. Biden changed nothing and didn’t make anything better, and we can’t let someone even further right like Harris back in the race

I would rather another republican than a neoliberal. At least that way people come out of the aftermath hating the right people.

Lowk everything because she’s never going to win, last election is the closest she’s ever going to get and if she runs whoever is the Trump pick is going to win because she’s just not a good or likable enough candidate

i mean she supported the genocide in gaza. thats a very valid reason to dislike her

yeah i get that but that was awhile ago as far as i recall she started supporting gaza (correct me if i'm wrong) but trump is definitely not the right choice for president or anyone who is MAGA tbh

she is also anti-immigration (made fun of trump for not actually building the wall + supported funding for it) and refused to state support for gender affirming care (said she would ā€œfollow the lawā€ as many states were banning it). she’s not a progressive politician.

yeah, clearly republicans are bad. when people are critical of kamala/dems generally it’s not saying ā€œrepublicans are betterā€ it’s saying ā€œdems aren’t doing enough to winā€ and ā€œsome of their policies harm marginalized groupsā€.

Nobody is saying that they are. hell thats why i voted for kamala last election. but she should not be running again. we need a progressive candidate to make change, not someone who will maintain status quo

no lmfao. he’s personally raided homeless camps. i’m not going to act like there are unproblematic politicians or be forced into naming and debating alternative options. that’s a tactic to silence criticism of kamala. i am making specific critiques of a politician who many be running and i will update my viewpoints as other candidates announce.

Kamala is a diet conservative policy wise and runs on ā€œvote for me because I’m not Trumpā€ instead of actually trying to garner genuine support and fix the country

They already have everything they need to run one of their goons against her, and win the public opinion with ease. They fucked up her campaign so bad last time with the late start and the centrist stuff, there’s no way she comes back from that

It’s genuinely not about that, she’s a terrible candidate and idk how many boxes she checks off because diverse faces in high places hasn’t worked out for us in the past once they abandon us for the establishment

I mean yes, you’re not wrong. However, it is important to acknowledge that it would be nearly impossible for Kamala specifically to win this. Strategically, she is one of the worst choices they could go for right now

She has a history of backing Israel, she’s very recently shifted to opposition but I’m not sure if I can fully back her, ideally I’d have someone like Rashida (or Ilhan but she’s not eligible) but even then aoc is infinitely better than Kamala

Honestly i think she means well? Maybe that’s naive, but she’s said that she opposes all future ā€œdefensiveā€ aid to israel like iron dome and shit. She’s been heavily criticized for it and it seems like she’s responded to that criticism. I’d love someone further left and I’d love ilhan, but I think AOC has a personality that bodes well for elections. She’s charismatic, and she’s christian (catholic iirc?), and at a time where islamophobia is so rampant, i’d be afraid of how that’d impact things

So things being affordable, research for cancer, the continued ban of toxic chemicals that are hurting the earth/climate, fundamental human rights, affordable healthcare, literal checks and balances of the government, the one in charge being held accountable for crimes he openly admitted too, pedos getting thrown into jail, and the ability to get a job, are all things that aren’t for my own interest? Because I can name the way Trump has literally gone against ALL of that.
