His acting in Juno was great but he tends to play the same character over and over again. He also was kinda terrible in beyond two souls, and i think umbrella academy was mediocre at best. Like him as a guy but his acting never did it for me, but i do look forward to what hes gonna do in the odyssey

You get that you're proving my point tho? Like I literally did not see public criticism of his acting before coming out. The number of acting roles he's gotten has reduced by 66%. He has gotten 1 job a year compared to 3 a year before he came out, and almost all of them are ones he is also directing/producing. He got awards for beyond two souls, and juno. He has been nominated for none since coming out. The industry didn’t have a problem with his acting before he came out, is what I'm saying.

Im proving your point by saying i didnt like his acting prior to his transition? I saw alot of public critique on him before transition idk what to tell you. I dont like him as an actor and if youre trying to say thats because hes trans youre wrong. Im sure a good number of transphobes started disliking him after but thats disingenuous to suggest everyone who dislikes his acting only dislikes his acting because of his transition.

And i don’t care about awards: i didnt like him in beyond two souls dude. Im a story gamer and his acting was incredible stale. Thats my opinion.

I’m saying: why post about it. Why make the joke that you "only" hate his acting but you're a cool progressive for using he/him while doing it. Do you know any trans men in acting roles that you do like? Are you interested in platforming them in an LGBTQ+ forum? Or are you just interested in being mean to trans people. There are trans people here who would like to see folks like you actually talk about us positively someday. Tired of coming on here and only seeing posts being mean abt us.

My point about awards is that he was actually respected in the field before and he now is not. That’s pretty damn obvious. If you don’t know how your actions are interpreted in the context of how Page & trans people are being treated rn idk what to tell you.

Eh, wasn’t for me tbh. Like I originally said, i do look forward to seeing how he acts in the odyssey. The few snapshots ive seen his costuming looks insanely good

Bestie I asked if you ever talk abt the trans actors you do like on here and you sidestepped. The post itself is just being mean. Have you not noticed the disproportionate amount that people only say negative things about us on here? Are you just like, cool with that?
