there doesn’t need to be a reason! personally I love being bigender, I struggled with picking labels / being “one or the other” for most my life but then everything started to make sense when I realized it was possible to just “live as both”

it’s achievable in the social & material sense too, not just in terms of internal identity. I’m on a custom (but still pretty simple) HRT regimen, I present somewhat androgynously, and on any given day when I’m in public I usually get gendered as both “he” and “she” by different strangers
