Being an ugly trans girl makes me want to die but I remind myself I’m not allowed to hate myself the first year on estrogen

I didn’t know ugly and trans girl could be used in the same sentence, bby ur beautiful because there is only one of you to exist and will ever exist

Well there are lots of ugly people, and lots of uglier people than you are doing just fine.

Nah, it’s like how artists think their work is ugly even if it’s a masterpiece because they’ve been looking at it too long. My girlfriend is pre-transition trans and she thinks she’s ugly even though she’s gorgeous and feminine in ways she doesn’t realize unless I’m actively telling her (and even then she doesn’t always believe me). I doubt you’re as ugly as you think you are. People are unreliable narrators about themselves and dysphoria makes that 10x worse.

I look absolutely hideous, I started HRT too late in life for it to be effective and I’ll probably never be pretty or even pass. So, yeah, pretty ugly. I’m entering my 3rd month on E

Stop trying to be a women in the way that society groomed you into thinking women should be. It’s not about passing in a cis lead society, it’s about being true to yourself and becoming the person you want to be. The standards imposed onto you by society and yourself are impossible to achieve because in reality, even the most confident people don’t truly believe that they are beautiful. Stop putting so much value in your physical appearance like the rest of the world does and love you!

I’m probably not even a woman at all tbh and just taking HRT for sick reasons. Which makes me feel sick because the resources spent on me could be spent on someone who’s actually trans

some people start hrt in their 60s and 80s and still glow up so much! you are never too old to transition :3 and give the hrt some time. change is slow as hell, but is so powerful when you see it. also, you may still be working toward upping your dosage to cis levels (~6 mg E, ~150 mg Prog), so keep going to your appointments! you got this, things will get better and clearer sooner than you realize ❤️

if you get value from having HRT in any way, then the resources put toward you are well spent no matter what. if you feel the need for HRT for any reason, you deserve it.

That is absolutely not how these resources are distributed. There is plenty no shortage of estrogen out there so you having it means absolutely nothing about someone else’s ability to access it. Unless you’re a doctor refusing to prescribe it or insurance agent refusing to cover it, you have nothing to do with anyone’s access to hormones. Even if you de-transition in the end, you transitioning doesn’t take away from anyone.
