You can be bisexual and never want to date one of the genders you’re attracted to. It’s fine when bi women never date men. Why is it different when a bi woman doesn’t date women?

The discussion thats being had is less about preferences and more about an objectification of women. One of my ex gfs said “i cant see myself marrying a woman” after taking my virginity and essentially lead me on. Theres nothing objectively wrong with it, but you gotta be upfront about it

i see what you mean but id argue this kind of post/sentiment actually makes people more likely to lie about it, because they learn that saying it outright makes people think they're a bad person. its fine if you don't want to get with someone who won't want to date you but its weird how people act like not wanting to date one of the genders you're sexually attracted to makes you a bad person

Nah i get it, it seems that sexual attraction is often conflated with romantic attraction so some identify as bisexual could better identify under the homoromantic umbrella with bisexual attraction in some cases but it seems that conflation makes them feel like they can’t unfortunately

Genuinely why? Why and how does it work this way. Explain it to me like I'm 5

As a lesbian I’ve been left by multiple bisexual women who were scared to outwardly be with a woman. I’m fine with the identity but I’m allowed to be cautious based on past experiences. I’ve also had great experiences with bisexual women, but it definitely happens.
