in terms of revolution, the most important aspect right now is to educate about theory. remember only a relatively minor amount of educated bolsheviks guided the revolution. but you're right in that no revolution is bloodless. the bourgeoisie don't allow for bloodless revolution as they will always act to violently suppress and destroy revolution.
Revolution isn’t just about who fires first—it’s about who builds last. The Stonewall uprising was fought with bricks, bottles, and sheer defiance. ACT UP saved lives by storming labs with protest signs, not sniper rifles. And every mutual aid network, every underground railroad, every bloodless act of refusal proves liberation doesn’t require becoming what we’re fighting.
I do think (I’m agreeing with you OP, & I wanna add for those who seem unwilling to get bloody) that there are also a lot of logistical/background jobs that are very important for strategizing and enabling community care & networking (& safety) that does not require an individual to pick up a gun. For those who had gut reactions against that, do consider that there are ways to help without you directly participating in violence if you don't have the stomach for it, that still allows you to help
But sure, let’s talk guns: Orlando, Pulse, queer bodies torn apart by weapons we’re told to romanticize. You wanna talk revolution? Start by asking why the same tools used to massacre us get glorified as the only path to power. I’ll pass on the NRA fanfic—our ancestors dreamed bigger
i highly recommend reading the manifesto and other foundational texts. the manifesto is a pamphlet so it's really not that long—and made to be easily consumed. communism was a huge part of the early rights movements. Foundational members of organizations such as Mattachine and STAR were communists, or had heavy ties to the communist movement.
the bourgeoisie own the means of production. they have a monopoly on violence and its instruments. they will do whatever it takes to keep their power. we can't just roll over and die, and we should no longer be satisfied with the scraps that they feed us as they commit genocide overseas
NRA is for fudds, FPC is more in line with what you’re thinking of. But while we’re here, I’ll plug The Gatalog, Deterrence Dispensed, AWCY?, Hoffman Tactical, Black Lotus Coalition, Navigoboom, UnseenKiller, and Danish Bulldog, all the developers that give us the capability to make guns, including machine guns, right in our living rooms! I have built glocks and ARs in my bedroom without buying a single regulated firearm component
People tend to downplay that work a lot but really really (imo) what’s important for movements is having enough people that can cause change, which means educating, reaching out, and banding together across differences. & in that regard, what you're doing is supremely important
