ngl as a csa and trafficking survivor, all the jokes about bill clinton and trump are insulting. there are much more serious aspects to this and they are constantly shrugged off because “haha funny, homophobic guy does gay thing”

Fellow CSA and trafficking survivor here, hello, friend. I agree with you wholeheartedly, I especially loathe the Trump and Lewinsky comparisons because I’m 99% sure that Monica was a victim. A 22 year old intern vs. the president of the United States. That power discrepancy makes me feel like it was all workplace harassment, meanwhile Trump gave a mediocre blowie on a trafficker’s couch. They are not the same

I am a survivor of sa and I am so sorry you went through csa and human trafficking, the jokes are also making me uncomfortable. It shows how little we have moved forward as a society. When everything came out in the 90s the response was to mock Monica, someone who was being taken advantage of by a man in power. Now that this comes out the response is to compare the victim to Trump. The power imbalance that existed between Monica and Clinton will never and has never existed between Trump and bill
