I understand in terms of sex work but otherwise it’s okay to be bisexual … your preferred sexual behavior IS your sexuality

Honestly I agree Like I’m ace but I still enjoy sex, my lack of attraction doesn’t mean I can’t engage in the activity for the physical pleasure

Ok wait cause I’m also lowkey kinda confused too😭like I may understand the technicality of how that would work but the lack of sexual attraction to the other person would just throw me off and so I’d assume that’s the same for the people engaging in it. Which if at that point why even do it. But that’s just me

Its like when trans people will transition but like not actually attempt to conform to that gender and like purposefully present in a way that would provoke their own dysphoria

like if I identify as lesbian now but tell you that I had sex with men all through college, that doesn't make my present identification less valid

Lots of lesbians have sex with men as a way to repress their sexuality, convince themselves they are straight or just haven’t quite realized *why* they don’t enjoy sex with men. That makes sense to me. If you are actively having and enjoying sex with men.. u wouldn’t be a lesbian tho ?

the tweet didn't say anything about enjoying it though. idk maybe i'm wrong but that's how i interpreted it: your sexuality is not changed by actions

Sexuality isn’t changed by your actions but sex is an action? Intention matters too but talking abt having sex and sexual behavior i think it’s safe to assume it’s with mutual enjoyment, with the exception of unrealized/repressed identities and asexuals. Ppl having sex with some1 they aren’t attracted to is a small minority id say so to claim what OP is saying so broadly seems kinda harmful without context or nuance

idk I fully thought that was what the tweet meant. at some points we're just guessing what someone else's intentions were, right?
