Some gay men are definitely guilty of this, but I feel like most of it comes from straight people trying to force those gender roles on us, either as homophobia or fetishization or both. I don’t know many gay men that self identify as the man or the woman of the relationship

I may be a bottom and I may be small, but I’m not a woman. He and I are both the men in the relationship. I’ve never in my life encountered men who gender the relationship roles. We’re both men which is kinda the whole point

I'm a bottom trans girl in a relationship with a cis woman, you'd think it wouldn't be that weird to them but all my male gay friends don't get it at all and it's like 😭

Yeah I dont get why this is being seen as a thing that gay men are doing?? This is literally heteronormativity being pushed on us😭😭 My boyfriend has been asked by a straight man which one of us was the "girl" in the relationship
