I love my trans friends… however, some of you bitches need to do an ounce of research before changing your names to something in a foreign language cause this white girl I know is now sharing a name with a Japanese steak house 💀

Idk if I have the heart to tell her that she named herself “seaweed”

This wasn’t even related to gender, but a white girl at my high school named herself Mizu, which is a very odd first name in Japanese as far as I know - it literally just means “water”. And not like River or whatever, but like calling yourself Water Jones…

Like pleaseeee we made fun of millennials for getting ts tattooed on themselves because it looks/sound aesthetically pleasing to them, but it’s just embarrassing 💀 and a name is a little more difficult to change or get rid of than a tattoo

I have to say it’s a pretty sounding name, but knowing the translation is killing me 😔 also I feel like going with a name from the Japanese language is just an odd move for someone who is very much not Japanese or even Asian in any capacity

Yeah, that’s the one thing I never understood is ppl who use words from other languages when they have no relation to the individual, like yeah it sounds cute but for all you know you could be calling yourself anything from mouse to *insert any offensive word here.” Why I went with a name that’s at least the same in English and actually known someone with the same name

LMFAO literally me because I obviously respect her transition and pronouns and everything, but every time I talk about her to someone else and say her name I kinda cringe :,)
