What OP said as well as timing. If that’s what they open with when meeting me, that’s usually a red flag. If we’re hanging out more or going on a date, then I don’t mind the question in any form as long as the intent isn’t to be rude

This. The second question in a YY DM shouldn’t be about my genitals, same for a date, I’m not necessarily shy about it, it’s just a red flag when that’s the most important thing about me to you. Usually I’ll end up volunteering the information indirectly if conversations progress, and I appreciate when people aren’t weird about it.
