Ok I actually agree, but those wanting to make hate speech and hate groups illegal are usually at a disadvantage compared to the hate speech and hate groups. What could we do about that?

yeah how long until satanists or some other minority organization is a hate group doing hate speech because they are at odds with dominant society

I would say that we need to study. Learn about the ways that laws against hate speech are being limited around the world. Look at the strengths and weaknesses.

i know - just an illustration of what you’re saying about how it can be counterproductive considering the groups hate speech is targeted towards are the minority. satanists are just an easier example because they’re an actual organization as well as an identity
