just adding onto your examples at my prev job we had two people who use they/them pronouns and almost no one used the correct pronouns for one it was bc people "forgot" since they presented as their agab the other was transitioning from ftm but explicitly only used they/them. but some people outright used she/her, then others used he/him bc they assumed the they/them pronouns were a phase until they fully transitioned
this was at a massage place, so the people using she/her for the second person put them in a lot of terrible situations where clients walked out and got aggravated bc they thought they were getting a female masseuse and then on the other end of that I had a coworker that when scheduling clients for them would straight up say they were trans. which isnt safe at all (we're in the south btw) and she had no right to reveal this info
Holy shit. I didn’t know about that. I’m just posting because I’ve seen more and more binary trans people throwing nonbinary people under the bus to try and seem like “normal trans people” even though none of us are seen as normal in the eyes of conservatives. I’m also sick of cis queer people using the “blue haired they/them” stereotype as a punching bag and acting like it’s not transphobic
