She’s still a biological woman, too. 🤣

If Hunter isn't Zelda then what's even the point bc she's literally the only person that looks like Zelda

trans shit aside, when you look at the roles these two actresses fit, hunter fits the needs much better. she looks the part and her appearance outside of similarity lends itself well to the fantasy/whimsical side of things (elf like features) vs sydney doesn’t. sydney bodes well to more drama style roles, realistic fiction type.

I’m surprised Nintendo’s is actually potentially allowing a trans actor to play Zelda. They’re not exactly known for being open trans ally’s

Biological and woman don’t belong in the same sentence. Woman is a gendered term and female is a sex term. We’ve gotta be consistent with the terminology to drive home the fact that gender and sex are different <3

Transphobes don’t know the difference between gender and sex (and are too stupid to comprehend it) but I think #2 is laughing emoji because trans people that medically transition are “biologically” their gender. Hormones alter our endocrine system and physiology; surgery alters our reproductive organs and hormone-producing gonads. Both Schafer and Sweeney are technically “biological women”

Nintendo of Japan but in America that gets censored out usually, though I heard they kept Vivian’s trans identity in the re release of paper mario ttyd so maybe they’re becoming more accepting

some trans people who identify as transsexual consider themselves biologically female tbf

Anonymous replying to -> #10 15w

I’ve never heard of that before but that would just be incorrect. Anti-trans people have constantly thrown out the rhetoric that you can’t change biology. The retort to which being that we aren’t changing biology, gender isn’t biological it’s social. I’ve never heard of someone being transsexual but that literally isn’t possible.

who are you to say someone can’t be transsexual 💀 a lot of people who transition medically consider their bodies “biologically transitioned“ especially since sex isn’t concrete in the first place. it’s ick that you’re acting like bio sex is concrete, since that’s something else transphobes say.

and why are you basing what we’re allowed to do on what transphobes say? it sounds like you’re just catering to cis people by acting like bio sex is set in stone 💀

yeah, she’s “biologically” whatever tf she wants to be since it’s her body, and sex isn’t concrete in the first place. so yeah, if she wants to say she’s a bio women, then she is

Exactly! Sex and gender are not the same, but neither are binary nor immutable.

Bio sex isn’t binary, but it is concrete. Sex is based on chromosomes, gender isn’t. There are cases where people have different physical characteristics of sex, but those come down to distinct alterations in their genetic code. Its like saying someone can be transracial

you don’t even know your own chromosomes 💀 about 99% of the US population doesn’t either. can’t base it on that, try again

if you haven’t realized it yet, AGAB is an educated guess (BUT STILL A GUESS) made by a doctor shortly after you’re born purely based on primary sex characteristics. you cant say that a GUESS is concrete no matter how educated it is.

How am I being dense? You just said 99% of the US doesn’t know their chromosomes. I’m not gonna act like I’ve ever gotten a karyotype, but the likelihood of me having the standard chromosomes for a female is far greater than me not having those chromosomes. especially since not having XX sex chromosomes would likely arise in physical symptoms.

Sex is not binary nor immutable. It’s not just chromosomes, either. It’s actually multifaceted, with many aspects able to be changed. But keep spouting misinformation, it’s cute to see you embarrass yourself.

Hi, transsexual here! It’s not common and most of us say we’re transgender bc it can be the same thing, but we do exist. I want to transition both my gender and sex. Most of which I’ve done successfully and once I get surgery I’d technically be transgendered or still transsexual, but I’m planning to go stealth, as there won’t be much difference between me and a cis woman. Only those close to me should know, it’s private to me. Transsexual is an outdated general term, transgender is appro for all

that’s exactly the point. the only way they’re gonna learn the difference is with cultural change that starts with us keeping them distinct in our language
