Met my first girl who was a chaser. She didn’t know i was trans. Mentioned it casually and she was like “oh… i like you more now 😏” EW! Thats gross! Why are you saying it like that! Stop!! Pls!!

Maybe she just doesn’t care and was making a joke? Might not have been that deep

This could also mean she feels more safe with you now knowing you’re trans. Maybe I’m way off but just a pov to consider

Right like she thought you were fine and wants you regardless of you being trans?

its not rly an appropriate joke to make, more so if it made OP uncomfortable. Fetishizing trans ppl isnt funny and it is that deep if she thinks making a joke out of it is okay

If it was like my childhood best friend, i literally would not care. But i had also JUST met this girl less than 3 hrs ago, so it was just strange

can we please default to taking trans people’s reports of transphobia at face value and in good faith, at least here in the LGBTQIA+ group? I’m sure you weren’t intentionally coming across as condescending, but when your immediate reaction to a post like OP’s is to presume they just need a reality check re: how they interpreted the other person, that feels kinda disrespectful

Not trying to be condescending, meant it as offering perspective but I hear you

regardless of intent behind what she said, it’s perfectly reasonable for OP to be uncomfortable with a comment like that from a stranger. being fetishized to the extent of dehumanizing objectification by an entitled chaser who may have at first Seemed well-meaning isn’t exactly a rare experience amongst trans people

tbf she could not mean smth by it AND OP can be completely in the right about finding it uncomfortable, those two things can be true at once. OP did ask why she said that, so people are giving her a reason. that reason doesn’t invalidate her discomfort tho

Im trans fem but even WE hate this, i like other transfems due to shared experience and comfort in knowing they get or can sympathize with my struggles or aspirations, the above exchange seems like fetishization, there is a difference.
