Born raised and still live in the Bible Belt, probably not the best advice / words, but I met my partner in person through my job. I say that to mean it can happen and that I really hope you do meet someone.

i naturally get a lot of queer/accepting friends, but you should definitely go to pride/queer events near you!! there's more than you think.
