1/2:Guys I’m lowkey confused about the difference between bisexual, pansexual, and omnisexual. Like I thought Omni was what bisexual is because like the way I learned it was bi sexual is attraction to every gender with preference and then pan was everyone

The difference is just vibes honestly. You’re whichever one most resonates with you. Maybe some combination!

So from what I understand Omnisexual is more akin to pansexual in regards to being attracted to all genders. The difference is that pansexuals are more or less apathetic to their partner’s gender, whereas omnisexuals do have distinct gender preferences and it plays a larger role in attraction

there is no authoritative source to cite to for something like this. no definitive answer. genuine best advice is if someone identifies as any of these terms, ask them what it means to them instead of making any assumptions about it.

Could be said that bi— attraction *to* multiple genders, pan— attraction regardless of gender, omni— attraction to any/all but with more preference that plays a bigger part in attraction. Sometimes people say pan is “gender blind”, where omni could be “gender conscious”. Of course, that’s not always the case. People resonate with different terms for different reasons and they all have many overlaps/can vary. Depends on vibes and what is most comfortable and close to the individual.

2/2: Without preference. But I’m like looking up the difference between the three and being told the bisexual I’m only female and male when I thought it was two+. Idk I’m just confused and if someone could explain it to me that would be great. I really just want to better understand

Bisexual is 2 or more, but that can show up as something like attraction to women, nonbinary fems, and other feminine or nonbinary genders. You just have to remove yourself from the binary gender system to understand it. It’s ofc most commonly attraction to men and women but there are other variations

Honestly this lol. I wanted to give a more flushed out detailed response but at the end of the day just label yourself with whatever feels good. You’re not married to any label so try things out and see what sticks

That last part is also very important! Try some labels out, you’re not making a commitment to never change when you put on bi flag face paint or whatever!
