Yes this is true!!! 100% But, straight and queer women also disrespect us and treat us different because we are gay. I’m not saying that it is right for some gay men to be misogynistic but we also want to be treated with respect and dignity. It a huge grey area that both side participate in and it’s just wrong. But as a gay man if a woman is rude to me I’m not going to be a “gentleman” and just take it I would in that situation say something back.
I also sometimes wonder if it’s a subconscious envy for some of them, like women can be openly feminine and it’s normalized and encouraged for them but effeminate gay men are heavily stigmatized in heteronormative society, so sometimes I wonder if that factors into the dynamic, that women can openly behave in a way that gay men cannot. Like a form of projection almost I’m not sure
