can someone explain why someone would name themself “bug”if they’re not cis since that Weird Little Freaks post is really confusing if cis bugs aren’t a thing

that makes sense, but not for the context since it seemed like a name used by people of the same age instead of their parents. I’ve just never heard of a cis person being called “bug” by their friends but people are saying it’s a thing, which is why I ask
