“Poly ppl all look the exact same” people are so funny because not a single one of them has ever been able to give me an actual description of what poly people supposedly all look like, and none of them have personalities outside of hating alt people LMAO

I think they look unconventional - like normally don’t adhere to normal trends and fashions, they have unique haircuts or styles. And I think it’s cuz they’re already living an unconventional lifestyle they don’t feel the need to conform. So I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a bad thing, can apply to a lot of queer people in general too.

Sometimes you can just look at someone and you can just tell by their aura or something that they like pickles or they are poly or they like crafting. You just gotta learn to read people

Idk I’m just speaking from my experience i can’t speak for others. Most poly people ik aren’t ugly they look pretty avg and normal. There’s a few outliers tho and I’m not a mind reader sometimes you just get a vibe off of someone it’s like gaydar but more than just gay

See you’re RIGHT, that’s the thing!! The poly haters just don’t have the brainpower to actually say that, so instead they say “every poly person looks exactly the same and they’re all ugly.” I know what they MEAN is “I value conformity to societal standards and I think anyone visibly queer or alt is ugly and disgusting,” my goal in life is just to get them to actually say what they mean. It wasn’t my main takeaway it’s the first thing I saw. If they’re gonna say 3 things it should be 3 common things mental stability isn’t really all that common and attractiveness is dependent on other people being attracted to you. It’s really not an intelligent statement

I mean it’s definitely not an intelligent statement, but just to put it front and center, they don’t ACTUALLY care about the mental stability of poly ppl, or anyone for that matter. They’re intentionally trying to imply that polyamorous ppl are mentally unstable BECAUSE they’re subversive and go against societal norms. It’s a general “they’re all crazy, ugly, and unhygienic” attitude that’s meant to stigmatize polyamory more than it’s meant to actually describe anyone. :)
