Hi I’m trans. It is unacceptable to misgender people because you don’t like them. If you do, you tell all trans people that our personhood and self is subject to your approval of our actions. There are no mass amounts of people misgendering cisgender people who have committed atrocities-this is ONLY something that happens to trans people.

Agreed. Doesn’t matter how shitty someone is, misgendering is not a line to cross. There are myriad ways to hate someone’s bullshit and call it out without encouraging violence against better people.

while i have my opinions that lily tino is not actually trans and is making this content with intent to cause harm to the trans community, if she says she’s a woman, i will refer to her as such. misgendering people because you disagree with their actions is exactly what conservatives do to oppress trans people. it opens the door for the conversation of how “bad” a trans person has to be before you get the free pass to misgender them.

whatever pronouns people say they use i would use for them, however i think its dense to assume that there are not individuals who lie about their identities to make content which is harmful specifically to trans women’s safety. (though it is not a common occurrence)
