i think making a google doc that's easily accessible and available that goes into a lot of the nitty gritty of what queerness is and clarifying a lot of confusion would be really beneficial for a lot of people! going into things like gender vs pronouns, sexual attraction vs romantic attraction, what are umbrella terms, what neopronouns are, etc. would be really nice to have in one clean doc
that's actually a great point and i wanted to work with that idea of everyone having different definitions! there is a lot of messiness with labels and i wanted to add a blurb within each section about how it can still vary depending on who you're talking to and each identity is unique to the individual, but also having a clearly written (although expansive and loose) definition about the terms would help a lot when discussing it with others who may not know a ton about it
I still think you will end up isolating and hurting a group of people bc like in the case of lesbian I have heard ppl argue that it’s an umbrella term and that lesbians can like cis men and there is a group that would be horrified by that description and there would be a group horrified if you said lesbians can’t like cis men (im a lesbian who doesn’t like cis men and this is based off of my own experience)
ah, i see how it could be isolating. i want to create this project because i want it to be a place where people (especially those who don't know much) can learn about the intricacies of queerness. i'm hoping i can find a way to minimize isolation while doing this through talking to those with the identities and also researching the history and really learning about the term through a lot of sources before coming to a conclusion
