idk what the og post said but, as a white queer: white queers also want any excuse to act like every slur is on the same level as the n-word and its so embarrassing. theyre not the same. 1. there is not a word for queer ppl that hasnt been used as a slur. 2. the history or different words is simply different. its not about severity, its about how the word is used and who its used by. 3. nobody else has an equivalent of the oj simpson trial

which slurs should or shouldnt be said isnt a game of oppression olympics, theres nuance and context. theres things you could say that arent slurs but would be considered "worse" if used in a derogatory way. its kinda like the dumb "if guns are so deadly the. why dont we get rid of cars for being deadly" argument. the purpose of a gun is to shoot; the purpose of a car is transportation. sure, cars can be deadly, but thats a result of specific context, intent, external factors, etc.

some words have other purposes, uses, contexts. for folks who arent black, the n word does not have another use. its not a competition. we have to stop trying to do everything black ppl do and just be supportive
