this is also annoying bc if it requires explicit queer sexual/romantic scenes for people to believe a character is queer it makes it even harder for the already limited ace/aro rep out there bc so many people will kinda ignore it if a character says they aren’t interested in sex or romance, and like there isn’t really a way to *show* that like there is with other identities

Yeah that’s fine, I’m more referring to shows where the straight characters get longing glances and flirtatious dialogue and then the only queer characters get a full hookup with no strings attached and no actual queer love shown at all
