The statement that everyone is a little bi did so much damage to my mental health and my journey of figuring out my sexuality. I look back at all the times I tried to force myself to like men and how absolutely miserable I was. Everyone is not a little bi

as a lesbian i felt this so bad. same situation here basically. i think it’s especially harder on lesbians because of how much society values men. like going to school or work with everyone being boy crazy, or talking about their boy crushes and dates and hookups with guys felt sooo isolating so i kept hoping that one day i’d be able to contribute to those conversations. but that time just never came and instead i pushed myself into uncomfortable dates that i felt too embarrassed to even discuss

Like I tried so hard to like men bc there had to be one that I eventually liked. People still try to tell me that I still must be a little bi and I don’t think they understand how bad being with men was for me in the romantic and sexual sense. Like I don’t understand how you can be so self centered that you think everyone’s experience is the same and that we are all just bisexual.

to this day, i still have coworkers telling me that i’ll probably find the right man because everyone’s “a little bi” and “sexuality is fluid.” no baby, YOUR sexuality is fluid.
